Willi Willi

Willi, aka Boc's Sillywilli, is quite the handsome white and brindle almost 2 year old male born March 3, 2005. His sire is State of the Art, with his grand sire being the famous Greys Statesman, and his dam is Ticket to Ride. Willi's racing career spans two races – November 26 and December 2, 2006 at Valley Race Park in Harlingen. Willi figured out pretty fast that his finish line is a couch! Willi is cat trainable, but it is not known if he is small dog tolerant (although he had no interest in a Jack Russell Terrier at the vet's office).

Willi

Willi's bio will have to be updated periodically because he is a "work in progress." After all, he's only a teenager and he acts his age. He is very exuberant and curious about everything, especially anything at eye level (and he's a tall boy). But he learns quickly. He doesn't have accidents in the house and he staked his claim to a dog bed in front of the sofa the first day he was here. Toys don't last long with this silly boy. He frequently lives up to his name and acts so silly. Maybe that's why he only ran two races.

Willi is endearingly affectionate and always wants to be in the same room with you. So far he does not seem to have any space issues - he just wants as little space as possible between him and your hand. Willi's mantra is "pet me, pet me, pet me."

Since Willi is so young, he does have some things to learn - with the help of a water bottle and occasional stern "no." He just says "OK" and goes on to something else. He's learning to walk on a leash with other greyhounds. He gets along greyt with his greyhound housemates and frequently incites them to play. He likes to "go" and is learning that he doesn't need to help me drive.

Willi will enjoy living in almost any type of home. He's a very happy boy.
