Raven, aka Toad's Raven, is a beautiful 3-year-old black female, born March 26, 2004. Her sire is Oshkosh Slammer and her dam is Hurry Up Heidi. Raven started her racing career at VictoryLand in Alabama on September 28, 2005, and after 36 races, ended it at Valley Race Park in Harlingen on January 27, 2007. Raven arrived on Easter Sunday with the group from the close of Valley Race Park.
Raven passed her cat test rather quickly. She got sniffs of all three cats and was on to other things interesting in a house. She even got to meet one of the cats outdoors on the front porch. She was mildly interested, then the cat meowed. She loooooked...then looked some more. Then, like "too weird," she backed off and started exploring new sites and smells outdoors.
Wow! This girl with the incredibly sweet face and wagging tail is SMART! She's learned the doggy door already and seems to know that outdoors is where she's supposed to go potty. So there you have it: beauty, brains, and the loving nature for which Greyhounds are famous.
