Valley Ranch Pet
Rally
April 5, 2003
Saturday, April 5, 2003, was a beautiful day to stroll the Valley Ranch Pet Rally and visit the booths of adoption groups and vendors. This was the second year for the event held at the Valley Ranch Fitness Center located at Valley Ranch Parkway and MacArthur Blvd. in Irving.
GALT's booth was between the Great Danes and the Golden Retrievers. This event was a little different for GALT because of the other breeds represented - and the barking. As usual, the greyhounds were completely quiet and well behaved. The Greyter Dallas Walking Club also attended, so well-mannered greys were everywhere!
We had a wonderful turnout as it was an all-day event. We were able to show many of the adoptable dogs - Allie, Betsy, Fred, Sabera, George, Huston, Dixie, Jypsy, and Havasu. Thanks to Carol, Jenny and Mary and Joe for picking up the adoptable dogs. GALT volunteers also brought their own greys to mingle with the crowd.
